If you're like me (I hope not) you get some lube boogers on the floor. I tried all kinds of stuff(including Hoppe's) to get the stuff off my plastic smooth surface floor. NO LUck. Then I tried my Bissle steam cleaner, works great.

Haven't tried to clean the old (60s) tile floor in my loading room, but mineral spirits works real well to clean lubrisizer dies.

A little WD-40 also works well on lubrisizer dies.

Using steam makes sense. To change lubes in my lubrasizer I boil it in a big pot of water to get all that old wax out.

Also works good for getting the bird crap off your car the car wash didn't remove.

Kieth, you should post a picture of that so I can show my wife how ugly things could get in the kitchen.

Just kidding, I’m sure it works

I use three lubrisizers, two SAECOs and  Lyman so I seldom have to clean one out. But, on the rare occasion lube needs removal, I use a hair dryer. Fast and minimal mess. I always keep a hair dryer handy under my loading bench anyway for providing some mild heat to the lubrisizer before using; makes everything flow easier.

What works best depends on what lube you're running. I used Texaco Hot Box Coolant for a long time and had a GREAT deal of difficulty in getting it out when I changed. That stuff just goes liquid and smokes floating on a pot of melted lead. The smoke would  burn if you could light it but smelled very bad.
