I don’t have a 25-20. Just letting you know that MGM can make you anything you want. They made me a 25-222 years ago. I really enjoy shooting it.

I've a MGM barrel in 32-20 (.308 bore) and really like it. Seems to handle cast better than some TC barrels. It may be the fastest way to get one because I don't think they're very common.

Hopefully one of the members here has one that they are willing to part with for less than a custom barrel made by MGM, EABCO, BELLM, or others. I am hoping to avoid the $600 price tag for a new one. eBay had many listed as did Gunbroker so they are not as uncommon as I believed. Hence my post here hoping one of the members may have one they are willing to part with. My fingers are crossed.

My silhouette club uses Ed's Contenders as a source of used barrels. He has stuff rotate through all the time and let him know you want one. I committed a near robbery on Ebay when I got my MGM barrel so I know why you don't want to fork over that much.

I noticed Midway USA  are expecting from TC by June. No 25-20 listed . Keep your fingers crossed.

I doubt we will see one from T/C. They have drastically reduced their offering of calibers to all but the most common ones and therefore more prone to sell on the market of today.

Why not get a 256 Winchester Mag Contender barrel. You can load it down to simulate a 25-20, or go whole hog. I know brass is hard to find, but I could form some for you, I have a form die set. Unfortunately I don't have any 357 brass left, I just went on a binge and loaded all my empty 357 cases.

I like the 25-20 caliber and have the loading dies, bullet casting molds, and the brass. I wouldn't have to purchase any more caliber specific cooters.

I know brass is hard to find, but I could form some for you.

That's a generous offer but I just purchased some more Remington brass off Midway. While it's hard to find, it does appear every now and again either from Remington or Winchester. I generate a "notification" when brass is back in stock and brother when that text comes in, you better be QUICK on the purchase trigger. It sells out within minutes.

I originally made brass from 32-20 cases and they work OK.
