A friend has been reassessing his lock up and has gifted me a pair of English .300 Rook rifles.
The Martini is in good working order; barrel has sharp rifling but the bore has 'texture'. Soft alloy should do fine.
The break open rifle has a barrel in not such good order sadly. Not sure what the future holds for this one. Also missing some screws.
The real bonus is 100 new case. I intend to make a push through die to size bullets to .300-.304. The Lee 90gr RN bullets I cast a HEAP of when I had access to a 6 cavity mould a few months back should fit the bill. Cast in 40/1 they measure .311 so I will fill the grooves with lube then nose first size.
