QUESTION: If I add Two parts of Wheel Weights, BHN 12.5, with One part of Monotype, 27.2 BHN, do I end up with an alloy that is 17.4 BHN ?

12.5 + 12.5 + 27.2 divided by 3 = 17.4 ???

Thank You

Go to the upper bar that says "CBA info"

Go to down to "Downloads"

The fifth one down is a hardness calculator.

Download it and run it.

I can not get the Alloy Calculator to work for me.

It is a MS Excel worksheet. You will need to download it to a PC, not a smartphone.

That mix will give you about 4.5% tin and 11% antimony, should be close to 20 BHN.

Your answer is close enough. Understand though, that alloys may not "average" like this one.
