After spending $100 to get a piece of junk Schofield holster from Fortner's Frontier Leather in Cullman Alabama, I was loathe to try the internet game again for a holster I have not seen or handled. Fortunately I took another chance and ordered one from a maker on Etsy.
The holster I received from Skillet Creek for less money then the first one I ordered, is exceptional. It is professional looking, made from fine leather, machine stitched, nicely garnished, and the revolver fits it perfectly! I received it in less time than quoted, unlike the first one where I had to threaten a lawsuit for interstate fraud, and it came properly packaged in a box to protect it.
The craftsmanship is excellent and on par with Old Pueblo Saddle Co. if you are familiar with that holster maker - now retired.
I point this out so that anyone looking for a nice period holster for a Schofield revolver can and should contact Skillet Creek on Etsy to get yourself one. They are well worth the money.

With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.
