I have decided to add this club to the 44-40 website here. This is an exclusive club for those that can provide to me a target that consist of a minimum of 30 consecutive shots (inside 4") with the 44-40 cartridge, fired from between 100 to 110 yards. Can be open, ladder, peep scope, etc. Can also be smokeless or black powder loads. The point is to prove the cartridge, not the shooter's eyesight...and to get some more participation!

I am also looking into getting some 5" patches made....but so far it is a min 100 patches for about $200 That patch would be Doc's target...colors and design yet to be determined.

1. Doc Pardee, 1873 (Winchester 73')
2. John Kort, aka "w40wcf", 2014 (Marlin 1894 4x scope)
3. Bryan Austin, aka Savvy Jack", 2019 (Winchester 73' 6x scope)
4.
5.

... Bryan ... I love it !! ... this idea is dead center on what casting bullets is all about .

I grew up shooting a genuine Peacemaker and a Winchester 73 both in 44-40 ...   somehow I never acquired a replacement 44-40 after I settled down a bit ... slightly.   had a 788 in 44 mag and now a Ruger 44 Carbine ...  but no cigar.  ...and even those more modern shooters would be hard pressed to put 30 shots in a 4 inch circle at 100 yards ...  5 or 8 shots maybe ..

Another classic 44-40 is sadly probably not in my immediate future but I would be glad to send along $10 for a " 44 Club Supporter " patch ... look cool on my reloader bench ...  pm me if/when ...
