I am looking forward to testing my 38-55 Winchester Bullberry Legacy T/C barrel with these loads. The cases suffered crumpled mouths and had to be trimmed past the damage to 1.980”. Having some bullets on hand which were cast from an Accurate 376265D bullet mold for a 375-JDJ, I thought “what the heck” and loaded these up. These will surely be more pleasant to shoot than the 375-JDJ loads!

Well they shot just fine with 22.0gr of H4895. In the 14" tube there was a little bit of unburned propellant so I'll go to a .376" bullet to work up a little more boiler pressure. Why H4895 you may ask? I am going through old stock and this is the last 1/2 pound of H4895 I have on hand. I bought this in the late 80s when I worked at Clark Brothers. This was when it was made in Scotland too. Look at the price tag!
