Does anyone know where I can obtain the latest edition of Nick Harvey's book "Practical Reloading" from a source here in the states?  I know I can order from Australia, but $118.75 in shipping is a little more than I'm willing to pay.

Thank you.

Try AbeBooks or GoodReads. They both sell used books. There's one on ebay too for 40 bucks shipped. Don't know if these are the latest editions though because I've never heard of it.

I have an old copy and suggest it is not worth the money.  Nothing in it that is not in all the others.  I also find it difficult to believe that he actually developed all that data himself.

Cheers from New Zealand

I have the 1st edition from 1993 that I got from Hawk Bullets in New Jersey. Bought it back in '96-'97.

Thank you for your honest opinion.  I believe I will take your word for it and pass.  I did find a copy online (thank you pat i.) for $80 including shipping (2021 edition), but I'm not willing to pay that much for data I can find elsewhere.

For what it's worth it was the first reloading book I ever bought way back when. Nostalgia is the only reason it still sits on my shelf. I concur with Jeffinnz. It's the only old manual I never open any more. Obviously better than nothing but lots of better options. The most useful old manual I ever got is the Speer No 11. It has a wealth of load data not found in previous or later editions, and covers all the other bases pretty well. I have a copy of Mr Lee's manual, 2nd Ed which is sometimes helpful but often not, similarly the last but one Hogdon. These days I mostly use ADI and Hogdon Online Data. I took to printing load data off as they continually obsolete and update data these days rather than by annual edition. The last printed ADI manual I got was the Nov 2004 4th Ed. Or was it 2002? (Not in front of me). I often refer to it as some of the load data I use ADI no longer publish. Anyway, in all if that, Nick Harvey doesn't figure. I also have a collection of old Winchester, IMR, ICI and other manuals and leaflets which apart from their historic appeal are still often useful today, especially when I am lucky enough to get my hands on some usable old powder.

Thank you John.  I have a complete set of Speer Manuals from #1 onward, which I do refer to older cartridges.  Also a multitude of other manuals from most sources.  However, I also reference online data the most.  I was under the impression that Nick's book was full of data obtainable in other places, and I thank you and JeffinNZ for correcting me.

I guess if I ran across a copy at a gun show cheap, I'd likely pick it up - but only if I stumble across it.

Thank you.
