Joe Gifford passed away today after being a CBA member for almost 30 years. Joe and I joined the CBA at the same time as he was the only other cast bullet rifle shooter in our area. Joe shot in several National Military Matches at Paul Bunyan Range in Puyallup, WA, and took home a medal or two. But he was very active in the postal matches until about 10 years ago. Declining health prevented him from shooting as much as he wanted, but his interest was always in benchrest military rifles, especially his 1891 Argentine Mauser.

May he rest in peace. Sounds like someone I would have liked to have met.

Sorry to hear that. There are too few of the original CBA crowd left. Ric, I hope you do an obit for him in the FS and maybe share some of his stories.
