I used to business with a reloading supply company that was in Minnesota or Wisconsin. I can't remember the company's full name, it was  _________ Ballistics. They were a good company that I enjoyed doing business with and would like to do so again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ballistics Products? They are in MN and specialize in shot shell reloading.

Thanks MarkinEllenssburg,

Thanks for that information. I haven't ordered from them in 2 or 3 years and was having trouble with a search, since I couldn't remember their complete name. They have shotshell components that I have trouble finding in my area.

Thanks again,

They are my go-to for anything shot shell. Way back in my college days I bought my first shotgun, a well worn Ward's Hercules single shot in 16 ga.  Always wanted a sweet 16 but never found one. Embraced 12 ga for a number of years with a Remington Sportsman 12 purchase from my dad with a repaired broken butt stock. I got a slab of rather plain looking midwest walnut and carved out a straight stock to fit. Finished it and with borrowed checkering tools checkered it. It accounted for a few geese and plenty of ducks, grouse, and huns.

My two sons also learned to shoot with it. Several years ago found a double Wards in 16 at a local gunshop for $100. It went home with me. Decided to get off the fence and set up to load, and reload for 16. Ballistic Products had everything I needed. Hulls, wads, data. Think I bought the Mec 600jr form Midway. Decided to give the sportsman 12 to my oldest as a Christmas gift. Hunted with the 16 double for a few years until I found a O/U Savage 16. Been in bliss ever since.

Simply could not have migrated into the 16 ga. world without Ballistic Products. Their super crown crimp starter made loading new hulls easy. When they came out with their universal charge bar, I bought two. Waited a long time for them but what an improvement over bushings. When components were in short supply their load data books helped me find loads that matched what I needed and could use components that I had. I've settled on bismuth loads for waterfowl in the 16. Cost per shell is more reasonable than hard to find factory loads and safe for all my shotguns.

Hello Mark

It's good to hear from another person, who does stuff the same as I started out. In my early years I didn't have much money, or should I say no money, and buying junk and rebuilding it, was the only way that I could feed my addiction to firearms. Both my gun building abilities and the amount of money that I have available, have increased over the years and at the age of 79, I'm still building rifles and also rebuilding, junkers.

When in high school, my gun shop was the high school shop. In those days no-one cared if you got on the school bus with a firearm, the bus driver would only say, that thing ain't loaded is it. Man, have times changed and definitely not for the better. While I was a shop teacher in the Oklahoma School system, local community members would bring me firearms to repair in the school shop. I never charged for my services of course. I had a lot of pleased community members, and the shop was always full of firearms, and nothing was ever stolen. That was in the mid 1980's. I had lots of comments from the community men stating, "Gosh, I wish a shop class like this was available when I went to school here."

I'm in the 11th. hour presently, trying to get some firearm Christmas presents finished on time, I hope I make it. In my family all of the males and some of the females are easy to please, that is, if it cuts or shoots, they like it.
