Lyman kind of jumps over that bullet weight in their charts. They were big on 140 to 170/173 gr, then jumped up to a 200 gr round nose, then to the 215 gr 357 Max silhouette bullet. Here's a pretty decent chart of Ideal & Lyman designs over the years.

I've had an LBT 180 grain flat base mould for more than thirty years. It's about as heavy as I'd use in the .357. I think these may still be available. Too heavy a bullet for the .38 Special if you want decent velocity.

After much thought about it,I think I am just going to stay with my 158 gr. Gas check bullets. Hate to waste money on another mold if not really necessary. Besides it shoots great in my Rossi 357. Just have to be seated a little deeper to avoid feeding issues. Appreciate the replies. John
