I have a fair supply but shortages of that odd head sized cartridge worry me. We've all heard of forming from 308 brass. Tonight I tried a proof of concept forming. Chambers and cartridge specs. vary, some are not that far off. I reduced the rim and solid web by about .010 and ran the case into a standard Lee sizing die a little at a time well lubed with sizing wax . The 0ld Marlin had no trouble chambering and extracting. I hope I never have to make them as I would sooner just buy the head stamped brass but if bad goes to worse the old Marlin won't be silent. I sectioned the made case to measure wall thickness and plan to section a 35 case and compare wall thickness. All my favorites are formed from 308 brass 250-3000, 358,300 sav. Frank C.

Frank, I have read about it, fortunately I have a decent stock. I shoot the 35 the most out of all calibers. I did start annealing the older brass and it has cut down on neck splits. Thanks for the input

Jim, what method do you use to anneal your brass?? The old 35 is almost custom made for cast bullets. My favorite is the RCBS 200 gr. In my Savage 99 358 I have little trouble keeping five under 1 1/2” at 100 yds and the Marlin 35 is right on its heels. Frank C.

Thankfully Ken Campbell set me up by selling me his 35Rem brass. I've also used 308 brass reformed by Matt Overidge (Grumpa at bollits) to complete satisfaction. Check him out as he reforms a lot of different calibers hydraulically. He's a vendor, sponsor over at Bollits and prices are reasonable. Gp
