I have a 48A with a 324 slugged bore. Lyman said the mold will throw .325 bullets. I do not want to start casting if I can find some one to supply the bullets and find out if they work. 1. Not sized 2. Not lubed. I am going to try Lee liquid Alox 3.W/WO gas checks 4. Will take 50 or 100 as required. May order more if they work. Sherlock Oklahoma Happy Thanksgiving to all

Looks like it's time to start casting bullets. Bite the bullet and buy the equipment. Once you start doing it for one firearm, you'll expand your horizons from there and do it for all of your firearms.
You'll also discover that you will be shooting so much more for every dollar spent than you used to. Granted, the initial investment appears high but once you get going, the extra hours spent on the range are just such a joy.
Yes, it is a challenge but what else are you doing with your sporting time? It's time to take up this new challenge and get that 8mm shooting cast bullets that you make.

Did you read the two 8 mm articles about shooting a Yugoslavian Mauser with cast bullets in TFS #235 and #326? The author was using an inexpensive Lee mould and apparently had good luck with it.
There you go, get a $20 Lee mould, a $3.00 cylinder of lube, some Hornady gas checks at $25 per 1000, a ladle, and a cast iron pot to melt bullet metal in and you're on you way.
Granted, the author used specific products but that doesn't mean you have to use the exact same ones to get good results from your rifle. Once you get started and enjoy the results you get with your 8 mm, you're on your way to expanding your cast bullet horizons. It happens to all of us. Trust me on this.
