I've given permission to CBA to have it done and make a CD to benefit the association. The articles are out there, some need to be scanned, but I would encourage somebody in CB A to do it. I am not a “geek".

Thanks for posting this link!
I remember reading Ed's articles when it took more than five minutes to go through the American Rifleman.
His piece on the history of the mini-14 was especially interesting. When Ruger introduced the rifle, it really caught my attention. Partly because it resembled the M-14, which I have some attachment to, and because it looked like the ideal trooper car rifle.
However, after getting one to carry with me, and a box of 20 rnd mags right from Ruger, I was really disappointed with the accuracy. Could never understand why Ruger couldn't build the mini so that it would shoot. Then after a while, this characteristic became commonly known and I realized that it was not just my marksmanship. What a shame, I thought.
This was in 1976. The mini was my companion for a few years and then was eventually replaced with an actuall, bonified, real, stump busting M-14.
Now, I know the rest of the story straight from Ed.

The Mini-14 article caught my eye as well. The old 50gr Nosler Solid Base did very well in mine. Yet to find a replacement that will shoot as well. Story of my life, find a good J-load only to have the bullets discontinued.

Thanks Ed; that person will need some pointers as you wrote a lot! I can foresee several volumes as new material is rediscovered :)
Would this be affected by copyrights? One of the local libraries unfortunately lost two books containing such articles. I'm not too sure of the exact references...: American Handguns and Their Makers
Lyman Cast Bullet handbook, 1984(?)

Usually the publishers get First North American Serial Rights and the right to reprint in an anthology of their own publications. Beyond that all residual rights revert to the author, who may assign, sell or delegate. I assign all residuals to the CBA and if anyone sants to compile them to benefitvthe association, they have my full cooperation and endorsement to do so. I have also given my good friend Grant Cunningham unlimited reprint rights for his blog.
We need to support “the good guys."

Thank you Ed.
I really like the new Forum, now you won't have any excuse for missing my questions :D.
Others have complained about not being able to edit but I can; what doesn't seem to work for me are the Emoticons...

This is a public service announcement;
I haven't been able to make the link to the Grant Cunningham Blog work so I contacted him. He said that the blog software broke a couple years ago and all the tags got deleted. When he inquired to his bloggers about re-entering the tags they said they didn't use them and apperantly didn't know anyone used them. He is currently rebuilding the blog in wordpress, and re-instating the tags, but it is going to take a while. Ralph
