Targets on heavy paper can be expensive if bought at your local gunshop Or at Gander Mtn. or the like. I have software on my computer which I can print targets from but by the time I pay for the ink & paper, that gets expensive too and at that the targets are only 8 1/2 x 11. I found a place online by the name of Law Enforcement Targets, picked out the target I liked & ordered 100 @ .18 each. Even after S/H it was still cheaper than buying them at the gunshop or printing my own. The more you buy the cheaper it is.

If someone else had of done to me what I did to myself . . . I'd have killed him. Humility is an asset. Heh - heh.

That is a good buy, if they are one heavy paper. My home range is almost a wind tunnel, so thin one only last a few minutes before the staples blow out. Please let us know what they are like when you get them. Thanks, Ric

I actually received them yesterday.the paper is not as heavy as the targets that Pat I. Sends out for the postal matches but look to be the weight of 24lb paper.

OK, that is the weight about of Dillon targets and most others (22 lbs.). OK for a calm day, but not otherwise, without backers. Thanks, Ric

Staples? I'm in Texas where the wind does blow, try duct tape, it works.

Almost forgot, good brown paper grocery sacks work. I use a sharpie and a quarter to draw targets. I can use a 6” ruler to put lines in if I want them. All you need to do to have paper is ask for it in the grocery store, as opposed to plastic. After all, it is a choice. Just say, “Paper, please.”

I use small balloons at my range. Tie them on a string to keep them ON the range! Moving targets are really fun! Some times when I run out of stick on Shoot-n-see targets I use a can of spray adhesive to hold the targets to the backers. Another cheap target is a plastic bag stretched over a Pizza box. Spray the box with a brite orange or yellow) color, tape it tight to the box and spray the plastic a different color black). You have a cheap Shoot-n-See type target.

Both good ideas, but I shoot two 10 groups with my 03A3 match rifle every trip to the range, if I can. That requires a TQ4 target for consistent sight picture. Tic

I don't know about your location but here when we have an election we vote on a piece of heavy paper that is larger than legal size. ballots have to be the number of registered voters or greater. well we all know that the turnout is much less that the registered. so many ballots left over. I went to the voter reg place and ask for the left over. they told me they discarded them after 30 days. I went back in 30 days and got boxes of them. tape them together if needed place anything you desire for a poa and staple to frame and shoot. I call it free targets. if printing your own use a lazer printer instead of a inkjet or take the ballots to a print shop and have them copy your target to them. friend used an exacto knife and made a templet and spray painted the black and circles. have fun. m

I like repair centers for 100 yard reduced high power. Fifty foot indoor targets are nice for a lower powered scope and 50 yard iron sights. I like to buy them from Champions Choice.

I have some ways I save money printing my own targets. I print only in black and gray tones and I use 90 pound cardstock at OfficeMax. Also, I use a refill kit and refill my black ink printer cartridge myself.

I buy shooting federation of Canada targets, probably about .30 each, then stick up to a dozen 3/4” stick-on labels on the back, either blue green or red. Labels are not much over .01 each, so the total is pretty cheap, and they make a reasonable bench rest target. Grouch
