I have this mold that drops 410gr bullets using 20:1.  The only marking on the mold is the letter "J".  It uses RCBS handles.  The first driving band is .405 the rest are .409.  The base is .409.  It shoots really well out of my Browning BPCR 40-65.  I just don't know who made it.  Any ideas?

Are there no markings above or below the handle slots on the sides of the mold blocks?

Could be the RCBS 40-400-BPS

Duane, No marking at all.  Just the letter "J"  on the back of the right half.

My take is it looks like a Saeco 740. Are your bullets weighing out about 420ish grs?

I have several SAECO experimental 6mm and 7mm molds bought at the Pomona Gun Show without SAECO markings. They were cleaning out the tool room and giving the samples away to the employees. The employees were selling them at the Gun Show.

I also have a mold that appears to be a SAECO, but it is only marked JR.

Looks like a Paul Jones mold. He used Saeco blocks, made single cavity BP molds. He is now retired.

I have one of his molds. It shoots well in my CSA .40-70.

The sprue plate and vent lines also looks like his.
