Welcome aboard, Al.
My name is Wayne Leone and I am currently President of the Tamaqua Rifle & Pistol Club as well as Director of Region 2 of the CBA (PA, NJ, DE, MD, WV & VA). My contact info can be found under the Association tab by clicking on Officials.
From your reply to my PM, you are only 40 miles or so from The Tamaqua Rifle & Pistol Club. We hold monthly benchrest matches and would love for you to participate or just show up to watch if you are not sure if it is for you. Match schedules, club contacts and match rules are under the Matches tab, please click on Home first then Matches to make sure you see the Match Schedule 2025 tab. No matter which club you choose to visit, please contact the listed match director first, sometimes matches are cancelled or rescheduled. You do not need a high dollar custom benchrest rifle to compete, there are Production and Hunting rifle classes also.
If you are not already, I highly recommend joining The Cast Bullet Association. Dues are quite reasonable, especially if you choose to receive the digital copy of our journal, The Fouling Shot. Just having the match results to glean load data from is worth the cost, let alone the excellent articles found within.
You will find CBA matches are full of competitors who are more than willing to help others and share their tricks they have learned through the years, hope to see you soon.
Wayne
