I'm shooting pretty much the exact same load as Shadowdog for gallery loads, a 100 grain .32 bullet over 2-3 grains of Bullseye instead of Red Dot for a 30-06. Works good for my 7.7 jap which slugged out to .312.

Quite right, I use it almost exclusively for plinking loads in a variety of guns. For gallery loads in the back yard that won't disturb the neighbors though I use Red Dot, a few grains in an '06 case topped with a 100gr. .32 revolver bullet and it's as quiet as a sub-sonic .22lr.

Nope. But if you're interested LBT and Ranch Dog Outdoors both make molds designed specially for Marlin .357s, if that's what you have. I can vouch for both as great bullets in an 1894c.

I need a better feeding bullet for my 357 rifle. One without the exposed driving band. Does anyone have experience with the Lyman 358665?

I have tried many of these loads and they really work.  Here are 3 of mine for the 30-06.

Lyman 311284 22gr. 5744 for about 1625 fps

Lee 200 22gr. RX7 for about 1575 fps

Lee 200 18gr. 4759 for about 1540 fps

All bullets not sized and lub with Lee liquid lub and a gas check. WW and tin 40-1.

Daz all plinkin loads to me. I'm down to two favorites I work with, 30-06 and 45 ACP. I have 8 pounds of Unique, and buckets of cast bullets ready to load. So I do a lot of playing.

30-06 10-16 grains of Unique and liking the 12 g best so far. 170g Lyman 311291, Aluminum gas checks. Lyman #2 alloy

45 ACP 5.5g W231 pushing a 230g Lee RN. Love the load in my pistol, bangs the gong all day long. I use Magnum Shot for my alloy with a taste of tin added. Even the 14 YO Grand Daughter likes it. And she's pretty small.

If I miss the steel with the rifle, I just shrug and reload. But the CB leave a pretty shiny star for the zombie shooters to aim at. :cba:

Can't let a good thread like this die. My 94 30-30 really likes the Saeco #315 as cast with LLA, no gc. 5.5 grs. of Bullseye for an est. 1050 fps, 5 shots in 2.75” at 100 yds. with a peep sight. OAL is a little long so single loading is the deal, 2.65". I'm making up a batch for a cb silhouette match on Monday.
