I am looking for a HP mold for .38 in 158 grain SWC.  Does anyone have one for sale, or know where I can locate one?

Hi

for a hp .38 150gr. Lee makes or made one, the no. is 90484 as I remember it, and it did cast a nice bullet don't know if the hollow point made a differance in anything but looked neat

Have a nice Day

Try to contact Lee, they probably still having tools, with little luck they won't charge as much as for a real custom mold ! If not a Lyman modded  HP will be a better choice.

The Lee HP mold is at the lower end of Lee molds IMHO, the six cav are at the upper  end. They are really slow, they need more attention than other Lee mold when using them.

I would buy a decent mold and send it to Hollow point molds for the conversion, will not be sorry for doing it.

I am now thinking of sending off a 358156,429244,and 3118 to have done. What else would i do with single cavity versions of these??I have been happy with the rifle molds.I was also thinking of doing a 311284 with one HP pin and another to just plug the hole to compare accuracy of the HP design.Another project i really dont have time for!!!

I have located a Lee mold #90484 - 150 grain SWC HP mold - it will suffice for what I was looking for.  I have a two cavity 158 grain SWC mold, so the HP mold will compliment the other.  I'll simply have to work with a different load for my ammo, but that will be another little project that I will enjoy.  Thanks for the feedback guys.
