I'm thinking this may be worth checking out. I'm sure it's been done before, though. How to mimic .22 rim fire match ammo in a .223 Remington rifle?

Bulky Trail Boss powder works verygood and is not position sensitive. With 62 grain lead bullet I am getting 1280fps with 5 grains, best accuracy was at 1400fps with 6.0 grains. 4 grains should equal 1000fps.

check all the bottles in your pantry ... one of them may contain a Gee-nee !!
yep, every time i get depressed with 22 cast, i remember those 22 rimfires .... that have everything wrong with them.
i saved back a couple bricks of the 40 cent stuff ... about once a year i shoot a 3 shot group at 50 yards ...
on that far-off day i fall victim to the BIG one, ... i will probably be found staring at a box of those * dang * rimfires ..
we might remember that in centerfire, no one is dumb enough to shoot a 40 gr. bullet that resembles an oval BB, and in a 17 twist barrel.
