I have a NCStar 2- 7x32. What cheap price are looking to pay?
I also have the mount for a Russian 91/30 or M44. The mount
is the one where you don't have to modify the rifle in any way.
It mounts to the excisting rifle sight. Where would I be shipping it to?

Does a Burris 7X IER (Interm Eye Relief) qualify?
Was used on an XP-100 for sod poodles, handgun silhouette and for awhile CBA BR. Moved up to a Weaver 36X and sat back aways.

My Burris 10x is also IER. The field of view is rather limited.

Dennis I'm not really interested in a NCStar scope but thanks.
Stan and Tom I think you guys missed the CHEAP part. Burris scopes ain't cheap. What's IER? That said PM me a price for them. You'll have to post that you want to talk because I can't recieve PMs unless I send one first.

Pat,
Mine isn’t NEW and you haven’t heard the price yet….
Was just curious if “long eye relief” is the same as IER?

Greetings,
IER = Intermediate Eye Relief.
Cheers,
Dave
Same as a scout scope kind of thing?

There is a fine distinction between IER and LER. This comes from the 1960's and has been dropped since the IER scopes have been dropped from production. The Jeff Cooper Scout rifles were to be equipped with the IER scopes having around 8 inches of eye relief. Redfield once offered a 3/4 inch tube 4X scope for .22 rifles that never sold well.
The LER scopes are the common production items we see today. I own several for my T/C Contender and XP-100. I once owned a Fecker Long Eye Relief Adaptor that cut the power of a normal scope in half. This was before the scope manufacturers offered LER scopes.

Not sure this is "cheap," but.... Used to be ~$75, now $95. I have (I think) 4 of them. Use them on my Contenders. 22 Hornet to 7x30 Waters. Not shot them a lot, but so far they have done yeoman's work on the Contender bbls with limited shooting. My Go To for all Contender bbls until they aren't! lol. They are what I would consider LER (ie, pistol), not IER (ie, Scout Scope relief). Getting them off Amazon.

Thanks Steve and Bud. Can't anything be simple anymore? IER, LER, LMNOP. Another alphabet soup of confusion. Sometimes I think manufacturers just throw words together to impress the masses.

Pat, Got sidetracked with my bi-weekly 24-mile bike ride and yard work. I found the scope (out in the garage, wanted to make sure I still had it around here). It’s in the original box. But… I still need to find a box that shoots under 1 MOA!
Sod poodles and handgun silhouette are in the rear view mirror for me. $50 should meet the CHEAP requirement!

you forgot to put * good * in your search criteria ...

I have had good luck with RWS air rifle scopes for plinker cast shooting ...
..also, I have 3 of Simmons 22Mag scopes ... on cast rifles ... embarrassingly, they have worked fine for about 15 years now ... a little tinny feeling, and shorter eye relief, but no glitches ... oh, they come with Weaver type rings ...
A new Simmons 2-7 rimfire is about $60 ...
,,,and yeah, ok, I would prefer a used ring scarred 1996 Weaver Microtrac 2-7 ....

👍. Sent my information.

Long Eye Relief => handguns.
Intermediate Eye Relief => scout-style rifles where the scope is mounted forward - sometimes well forward - of the ejection port.
I think 7x is going to be rare in either LER or IER scopes where 1-1/2x thru 4x is more common.
