whats with all the tests before logging in?

I have been a member of CBA since the early 1980's & a member of the forum for over a decade..whats with all the verification required to log on? The ASSRA and CastBoolits sites do not require all this bother? Is not my user name & password enough?

We have had a lot of issues with spammers etc. Extra layer of security now in place.

My answer was to delete everything about this site. Then relogged in about a year ago, and marked the box "stay logged in". Never had to do the verification tests again.
