A friend is hoping to buy a Lee mold either 311 119R or 311 1202R to shoot in 32-20 pistol.
If you have suggestions for similar bullets or anything from Lee that shoots well in the 32-20, suggestions are welcome.

John I don't have the Lee molds but do have a 4 cavity Saeco 322 for the 32/20 if he might be interested. If you want I'll mail it out to you for him to try out. If he likes it we can talk price which since I don't use it wouldn't be too bad. It's not Lee light so if he's a weakling it might be a problem. But the offers there.

Lee makes a 115 gr. GC mold with a big flat nose and it shoots well in all of my 32-20's. Mine is the new style mold with two alignment pins.

John,
Another option would be the NOE 311-121-RN. There currently are round nose as well as the RG (with HP, FN and cup point pins) versions in stock in both flat base and gas check. I recently picked up the RG, GC version of this mold, but have not cast with it yet.

Anyone who has looked at the Lee web site for bullet molds will be surprised not only at the new prices, but at the limited selection available. When did Lee molds jump from $19 to $50?
The selection chart which used to be shown where you could pick one of the 6 or so by caliber has been reduced to a single bullet for a caliber. Perhaps two but mostly a single bullet. Times are a changing.
I hope you find a used mold that you are seeking but I have to say, you and friend would be better served by purchasing a mold from one of the custom mold makers. My favorite is Accurate Molds. For the 32-20, I cast their 313110B, the 313120B, and the 31120I molds. Accurate made the 31120I mold for me based on two existing molds - merged together.
Lee makes a 32-20 bullet mold still. At least one is advertised on MidwayUSA.
With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.
