G'day folks. I joined the group in 2019 and, ashamedly, haven't visited much these past 6yrs. A recent post on my 'G'day from Down Unda' post, triggered events bringing me to now. Right, so figured it was way past due to give an update to any curious minds. Over the past 6yrs my mould collection has grown to well over 50 moulds. These vary from .228" 70gn for the 22 Savage Hi-Power through to 500gn .460" for the 45-70Gov't. Calibre that I cast for include: 22HP, 25-20, 32-20, 32H&RMag, 310Cadet, 9mm, 38S&W, 38Spl, 357Mag, 6.5Swede, 6.5Jap, 7x57, 358W, 7.62x54, 303Brit, 8x57, 38-55, 44-40, 44mag, 45Schoffield, 455Webley, 45Colt, 45-70. I'm now also powder coating my cast projectiles. The vast majority of my casting is to feed my CASS/SASS Cowboy firearms. I haven't don't much for my milsurp guns this past 3yrs as cowboy action is our primary focus. In the coming year I'll be looking to begin shooting the Lever Acton Silhouette competition as well as long range black powder competition's. I'll be playing round with a Win 94 'Legendary Frontiersman' 38-55 for Silhouette rifle cal & Marlin 44mag for pistol cal. Have a Pedersoli 1874 Boss Gun 45-70, Uberti 1885 45-70, and Pedersoli Remington Rolling Block 38-55. These will be my working guns for the BP long range.

I've gathered a number of NOE sizing bushes to help with ensuring my casts are the correct size for application. Also the usual sundries such as brass drop tube for BP, BP powder thrower, two Lee 20lb casting pots, spare handles, Lee APP for sizing with the Lee APP sizing bushes & NOE bushes. Amongst a plethora of others bits-n-pieces.

I'm coming up due for another session at the bench. Usual production is between 1200-2000 projectiles in 3-5 calibres each sitting.

I enjoy this aspect of the sport and am looking forward to the next phase with the long range side of casting. Of course I'll be perusing the folders, looking to learn from those more experienced in this realm.

So folks, that's been the last 6yrs. It's been fun and I'm looking forward to the next 10yrs.

Regards.

Lol!

Usually, I sit for around 4hrs during a casting session. I run 3-4 moulds and once you get into a rhythm you start churning out projo's. Helps when moulds are 4-6 cavity too! Though the bigger calls are either single or double cavity.
