For Military Benchrest, the rifle has a Unertl 6X Small Game scope. The mounts are 7.200 inches apart. Still I seem to get close to 1/2-inch movement when adjusting the scope. The scope repeats predictably,

Did Unertl ever make a mount that adjusted 1/2-inch per click on the 7.200 inch spacing?

The Unertl SGG 6X I had on my M1941did have 1/4 min Clicks, at 7.2" mount spacing but note

that the Marks on the knobs are Two (2) clicks = 1/2 min ,

I do have to say, though that sometimes it Seems like 1 click moves point of impact more than 1/4" at 100yds

Also, I have had a couple of external scopes that had sticky knob rotation. I had to

degrease old hard stuff and then re lube with good lube

Yep, I've owned early Unertl's that registered two clicks per graduation line. If the turrets aren't worn and move freely, 7.2" spacing yields 1/4" adjustment - simple math given the TPI of the turrets and mount spacing.
