I've collected George C Schoyen Ballard single shot rifles for quite some time, and recently got the chance to buy a .33 caliber mold for my Schoyen Ballard in .33-47 cartridge. A blown out .32-40, or sized down .38-55 case both work. The Schoyen molds were always done on old Ideal molds. Sometimes new blanks, but just as often old Ideal molds that Schoyen reworked. He liked brass molds, so the blocks were milled out and brass blocks somehow attached in the cut he milled out. Then the new mold was cut into the brass, and the bottom of one half had a plate attached to close off the bullet's base. They were also all nose pour designs, and original Ideal sprue plates used. The top of this plate has the Ideal stamping for .38-255 gr., but is over stamped with .33 on it. 5 lube grooves and a fairly blunt design. Not sure of the weight yet, but guessing over 200 grains.
