I have a Heritage R92 38/357 and I love shooting it. Once loaded  it will apparently feed any bullet that I can load. The only problems I have are loading some rounds and the ejection.  It throws the cases everywhere.  My question is can I change or calm down the ejection ?

You may find more information about this on the Lever Gun Forums which abound in the interverse.

On my lever-action guns, case location on the ground depends on my consistency with the lever AND where my rifle was when operating the lever. Small changes in grip/mount  and ejection force on the lever have a significant effect on case trajectory. I seriously doubt there is anything wrong with your rifle.

With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.

I have a 92 Carbine in 45 Colt.  Bought it used.  IIRC, seller listed that it had a mod regarding case ejection.  My first 92, and I can't recall what the mod was/is.  I can say that it doesn't throw cases far and wide.  In addition to above, might query the SASS forums as well.

edit:  only  note I have is that the rifle has a lighter extractor spring.  No clue the source...

When bench shooting, I lay my gun sock over the ejection port to keep the empties from flying out into the grass.

I agree 100% with what Aaron said.

Replacing the ejector  spring will lighten the action a bit and won't throw your empties into the next county. YouTube videos  can help with this endeavor.

I replaced the ejection spring and that solved my ejection problem.
