Can you size PC'ed Bullets in a Lube-Sizer?
Will the Top Punch damage the Powder Coating on the Bullets nose ?

Haven't had any issues with the top punch doing damage to the PC, but on occasion I have had a particular bullet that would shave some PC off the side, it was just a bit to fat so I just run that one through a Lee push through sizer.

From everything I have read and the one time I tried it, I don't think there are any problems with doing it. The PC bullets that I have recovered after shooting show the PC intact.

Ok, before Ken says it I will. "It is nice that we cast bullet people have finally seen the light and started using "Politically Correct" bullets. (I know it means POWDER COATED but I couldn't pass it up.).

Wanna start PC'ing the .32ACP & .32S&W Long bullets, and I is blasted tired of buying Lee sizer's. Five last month alone. But at least I already have the one for the new N.O.E. mold I ordered yesterday.

Roger: If powder coat has a weakness, it is that it is easily scraped. Any and all edges that come in contact with a coated bullet must be rounded NO sharp edges. The only lube-sizer I've ever used is the Saeco and it's H-I dies work fine with PC I have no idea about the Lyman size dies. Gp

I plan on PC tomorrow before the Humidity starts to go up for the weekend rain.
And I need to shoot the little guns, so I need some .32's

I have not had any problems sizing PC bullets. The coating acts as a lubricant through the sizer. Possibly the hardness of the alloy could be a factor. Hard cast bullets going through the sizer would stress the coating more. I use WW, and the bullets glide through the sizer.

Roger: Also, remember that only the portion of the coated bullet that comes in contact with the bore matters. Not that distortion of the bullets nose is ever a good thing (Okay, maybe hollow pointing) but distortion from the top punch is the same, coated or lubed. Gp
