Looking for some flat or hollow base .390-.391 paper patch bullets. Would like 50 to 100 to try out. Anyone know where I can buy some? Cast or swaged is fine.

I know this is not directly re your request, but maybe so:
For what caliber are you wanting 0.390-0.391 bullets.
Seems like that diameter may be for patching up for 40 cal ?
I use EPP bullets at 0.395" for patching up to bore dia of 0.401-0.403" for
my 40-72 and 40-65. 1.54" and 1.325" respectively for each,
Also, what Wt. and length needed for your twist.

I was going to try some in my Browning 40-65. The bore is .400+.0025 and the land to land dia. is .408+ . Rate of twist is 1-16. I am not sure of bullet weight but maybe try and get some in the 400 gr. +or-. Would like to try before ordering a custom mold or maybe it will not work at all. Trying to read as much as I can. Thank you for the response.

Now if you wanted some for a .45, I could help. Use to paper patch for my 45x2.4 Shiloh Sharps.
Might try Buffalo Arms

Thank you. I have a .45 and maybe get back to you. That is a 45-70

just for something to shoot ... here is something to tide you over ... might be just right for a 0.408 groove barrel . from midway , wouldn't 400 grains be too long for a 16 twist ?? sounds like fun, i always wanted a 400-416 blaster .

Buffalo Arms listed several at .395, the next smaller was 365. Buffalo arms onion skin that I have miced less than .020 so your final diameter would be close to .401-2 .

Thank you for all the responses. A club member has a .391 mold and will give me some. He no longer shoots PP so I may even get the mold. So close to home. Go figure.

rebsr52339,
Send me a PM with your address and I will send you some of my PP bullets that work Very Well in a
friend's Brg 40-65 and in My custom Hi Wall 40-65.
I fear you will be disappointed in the 0.391 dia PP bullet in your Brg. Too small,
Have to use extra thick paper to bring up to bore dia. Not the best state of art
in PP shooting. You want a bullet diameter such that you can use thin paper that
will be cut/shredded by the rifling. I use Roselle tracing paper at 0.00175" thickness.

Dick,
Two of 40-65 BP loads that shoot very well with my bullet:
1. Fireformed RP cases Fed 150 LP primers, 70 gr Swiss 1.5/0.414x0.060 LDPE wad
seated over powder with compression die. I do about 0.050" compression. Also seat a 0.414" target
paper wad over the LDPE wad with a dowel. Slip fit /finger seat the bullet. Clocks about 1375fps from my 30" 16 twist 40-65 HiWall.
2. Fireformed WW cases/Fed 150 LP primer/74.5gr Swiss 1.5/0.414x 0.060" LDPE wad seated over powder
with compression die followed by the target paper wad. This is load I shot the above group with and it works well out at distance.
The amount of powder You want to use may vary some- You want to use the amount of powder /and then wad seating depth
such that your bullet will seat snugly into the throat of the chamber deep enough with thumb pressure such that you can still close the action for final seating.
