Mike D. ran a great match and it was a pretty much full line.
Next time let's put an order in for wind that doesn't switch directions between shots.
"if it was easy we'd let women do it" don't tell my wife I said that!

Pretty good turn out for a blustery winter day. Did you get to hang out in the clubhouse to warm up between relays?

I dressed warm but did sneak in a few times....
What was cool as the club is about 100 years old(maybe older?) and this is a Newspaper article from 1951 showing the history of the club from the Spokane Review they hsve hanging up.
** found out club founded in 1916**

I wish we still had to dress like those gentlemen shooters at the top of your first picture to play this game. You forgot to mention this was your first match using powder coated bullets.

yes I broke down and went powdercoat with plainbase. It was a Ruger #1A 7.62x39.i used a 165g NOE FP. I did decent in 5 shot groups but by the time 10 shot groups and score started the wind beat me up!

The March 15th match had 12 brave souls like George, who braved the early snow and the low 30's temp as well as rain and wind! Alas I wimped out on this one, but hope to make the April 19th match.

I will be there in april shooting Hunter Class with plainbase again to give everybody else a chance... :-)
You going to shoot your 250 Savage Savage? When I shot with you up there about a year ago you shot a screamer of a group with that thing.

Shuz, It will be good to see you there. And like linoww, I will have to get my PB loads ready for this match.

I had some but kot enough for the match. Was using some 334's to fireform some new brass. Next match for sure.

George, I don't know yet if I'll be shooting the 250 Savage in April. My peripheral neuropathy has advanced to the point where the Savage Accu-trigger trips at the slightest sideward pressure on the trigger blade. I can't seem to prevent that with my trigger finger.😂
I'll probably shoot my Rem 700 in .25-06 with a 120g powder coated RCBS 25-120. Naturally I don't have the Accu-trigger to deal with on that rifle.
I plan on trying the Savage sometime before the April 19th match to see if I can adapt to the Accu-trigger. We'll go from there.🤗

It was a great turn out! First time since I've been shooting cast where we needed to use one of the 50yd benches and set a target stand @ 100yds. Sure wish I shot better and it wasn't so cold, couldn't feel my trigger finger for 10-shot group and score rounds.
Hoping April match will be better!

Some clubs are struggling to meet minimum shooter requirements, Spokane Rifle Club is not having this issue. It is great to see. It was great to see everyone. Really happy that I brought a backup rifle, it saved the day in spite of a DNF.
