I'm waiting for a replacement unertl base, I broke one. Does anyone have experience with the Bausch&Lomb Balvar 24 scope? Mine seems to be a little sloppy on the Unertl bases till the screws are tightened. Do the Balvars use a slightly wider scope base?

Also, What would be an ideal bullet length for .510 caliber and 18:1 twist? Currently shooting 1.58+-" and 767grain bullet over 130 grains ffg. Shoots very well when the scope bases aren't broken.

I have a set of his bases coming. .............. They're here. The problem now appears to be the lock screw does not mate up with the alignment groove correctly . I will clean up the screws with a 5/16 ball mill so they match and go from there. Cross yer toes.
