Folks I've reached that point where my wife and I want to move into a retirement facility. They don't allow any firearms. Therefore I m looking to liquidate all my stuff. My son wants my Dillon 450 and square deal B, as well as my RCBS Pro Melt. Everything else is up for disposal. My hands are too crippled up to take pictures and ship stuff, therefore I'm open to have folks that are CBA members come to my place and make me an offer once they see everything. Many bullet moulds and sizing presses. Old Herters M3 press and thousands of primers and pounds of powder. There's just too much to list. There's even wooden furniture cabinets and shelves and loading benches. Contact me by email at [email protected].

I'm in north Spokane. Stuff needs to be gone whenever a place opens up at the retirement place. Probably 6 months or more. If I could move it all now I would.

On the bar across the that has the titles "latest" , "following" etc..
On the far right it says "My Tools" left click on it and it will turn black. Move the cursor down and left click on "Private messages".

Sometimes you should resist jumping in but not to be a downer but to offer a different perspective….
This is reminiscent of a similar thing we went through in our area in 2007. A very good shooter, gunsmith and machinist, Dick, passed away. His wife Jean invited all of Dick’s shooting friends over to help her liquidate Dick’s shooting things.
Most of us know quality gear and it’s approx. value. Dick had a really nice set of wind flags that he hand made including every piece of the assembly.
Ralph offered Jean $25 for the 4-flag set. I saw this and said to Ralph “don’t you think it would be kind of special to own and use something that Dick made, making it worth a lot more than $25?” Ralph went off to survey the room.
Later on I saw Ralph holding Dick’s Harrell’s Precision powder measure saying he thinks it’s worth $35. I could not resist. I walked over and said to Ralph that he knows how much they cost and an offer of less than a third of the value is a real insult. Ralph left.
Maybe I costed Jean some sales and maybe it’s in our genes that some of us are always looking for something free or really cheap. However, Dick was a good friend and I detest those who easily take advantage of others.
If we are lucky and have a shooting friend who would oversee the liquidation for us, that would help keep things “real”. None of us EVER expect to recover our initial investment, or even close to it, but respect and honesty go a long ways.
Constructive, not negative.

Tom I couldn't agree with you more. Being frugal is one thing. Consciencely trying to rip someone off is another. Dick was a great guy and we had some really good conversations. Another one I miss. I'm glad you spoke up.

Many conversations with Dick were interesting, educational and remembered.
One exchange that has always stayed with me. I told Dick I had just been out load testing. He said…”if you didn’t use your flags, you wasted your time and components”!
I hope Shuz’s upcoming endeavors have a good outcome.

I have had to do four estates from my shooting friends over the last 10 years. One took me two years and the widow never even said thank you. One told me everything had to be out of her house in two weeks or everything was going to the dumpster. At the club yesterday one of the members is going blind and had a yard sale last July selling stuff about 20% of replacement cost. Last week his grandson hauled everything left to the club and covered two 8 fool tables. It was all free to any member who could use it. Thousands of jacketed bullets, brass and loading manuals. etc.

Stuff regularly gets given away at my club. Or sold dirt cheap. It's our version of recycling. I recently picked up a gallon-jugs worth of black powder projectiles for free. They were all in partial boxes and that's what I got when I emptied them into a jug.
I named in my will a grandson and a nephew who can have my stuff.

I have bought from estate sales for shooter/reloaders, buying tools and components.
They were done by people that knew the value of most things.
I let them set the price.
Most seemed to be happy with 50% of new price.
Mind you, this was before tools and component prices soared.
Thet were happy and I was happy.
