Ever heard of lead from a piano?

My friend gave me this lead.  There's some bar solder, and some thin tubes.  The tubes are about 1/4" in diameter.  He said they came from a player piano, and that they were somehow connected to the roll that the perforated sheet runs over.  I haven't tried melting it.  Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of such an animal?

The solder came from a body shop.

IIRC the old player piano we had as a kid used air to operate the keys as the perforations in the roll passed over the tracker bar.  Google how they work and it has a good diagram and explanation.  The tubes were to carry the air.
