I see specs. on the .33WCF bullet, that it is 338, and then again, I see specs. that is 333. Cartridges of the world is one reference that lists the diameter as .333. Is this .333 referring to land diameter and not groove diameter?

No. The English firearms of .33 caliber are .333" inches groove size. Winchester .33 caliber is .338" groove size. It appears they didn't talk to each other about what they were planning. Elmer Keith originally wildcatted cases for the .333" bullet because they were 275 grains (IIRC) compared to the 200 grain 33 Winchester.

I would be VERY RELUCTANT to run 200 grain jacketed bullet much past 2200 FPS in any Win '86 x 33 WCF combination. That 2520 FPS velocity spec listed as sourced by 'Barnes' is more appropriate for the 348 WCF and its newer, strengthened Win Model 71 rifles. JMHO, after owning and running both rifles/calibers.

Ideal Handbook #33 (1939) lists maximum loads for a 200 grain jacketed bullet at 26.4 gr 2400 for 2115 fps, 44.5 gr #4320 for 2225 fps, and 46.0 gr #4064 for 2260 fps with an overall length of 2.78". Bear in mind that these were the 1939 versions of those powders and the primers were also much different. Start low and don't try to push the pressures on that old iron.

Hello To All,
I want to thank each and every--one of you, who have contributed to my post pertaining to my .33WCF bullet and cartridge. I have found a lot of it very helpful.
I finally did another bore slugging, on the rifle, and got an accurate measurement. As soon as I finish this post, I'm getting on the NOE site, and make a wee bit of a donation for a sizer die, push rod or whatever they call it and some gas checks.
