Benchrest Hunter Class Equipment Question

I've read through the rules for CBA Hunter Class benchrest. It says the original stock must be used, with some allowances for military rifles. I have a rifle I am setting up for Hunter Class. It has the original stock, which includes sling swivel studs. I'm afraid the studs will make it difficult to use in a rest. I'd like to remove them if allowed, but I am not sure after reading the rules. What are your opinions on removing sling swivel studs? Allowed or not?

I took the studs off of my hunter class rifle and haven't had any complaints when I used it. Don't know how you'd use the rifle on bags with the studs attached. The rules say you can take stock attachments off of military rifles so assume you can do it with a hunter rifle. If not I guess I won't be shooting matches.

I would be surprised if anyone cared. I work around them on mine.

You can remove the sling studs - no problem.

Thanks for your responses! I think I will go ahead and remove the swivels. It will make shooting off a rest much easier. I can always put them back if I need to.
