I have just finished reading "A Cast Bullet Odyssey, and Some Heresies" in the latest FS. I thoroughly enjoyed the article, a lot of good information based on real world experience.

Timely as well, I am tinkering around with a Marlin 30-30AS. I don't hunt much anymore but for some reason I still tend to set some of my rifles for that purpose, habit I guess.

Anyway thanks for the great article. Dave

Mine came in yesterday (Thursday) as well.  All of the articles were interesting, with the Odyssey and Heresies piece providing a good account on the authors shooting background that is refreshing.  It is an excellent issue.

That is my thought as well.  Every article either confirmed my previous experience or caused reflection on ingrained ideas that will need further exploration.  Mr. Brown gave us an uplifting account of perseverance in adversity.  Please write more for us.  Never give an inch.

Mr. Brown's article does give a different perspective. We have some problem with politics and supply but nothing like some members from other countries experience. We have had it good for a long time.

Mr. Barret's article is interesting, different poi from different brands. If we think about it makes sense. Powder capacity and brass hardness all make a difference.

I have ran into primer pocket  problems with some 30-30 brass with the same head stamp. With the supply problems manufacturers seem to do a lot of outsourcing and using what they can find, can't blame them as they try to stay afloat. Unless it is the same batch all bets are off.

For those of you that get your Fouling Shot via the email link - there was a delay in receiving the PDF file from the printer.  I just received it a little while ago.  I will get the email sent out later this evening.

Received my digital copy last night, I have to agree with comments that this is the best issue so far and about this article in particular.

Shout outs to Sharon for getting the digital version out in a timely manner and also to Glenn for his continual hard work in providing a journal we can all be proud of.

I add my compliments to Wildreness, Rhett Brown and the other authors.  I hope their work will inspire some of the rest of us to set down our experiences and send to Glenn.  He is always looking for good material to keep the Fouling Shot interesting.

I used to subscribe and get hardcopy of FS in the mail, way down here in NZ. Stopped as it got pretty expensive. Now there is a digital option for $20 a year I just renewed. Hopefully I get this volume y'all are excited about

I found a couple.of interesting things. Im logged into the Forum as a member but when I go to the CBA shop my Forum memberdoes not count. So made my purchase as a guest.

Them there are some other excellent looking publications in the Shop. In particular the volumes on Casting that can be bought both in hard copy and CD. However they are not available it appears as a PDF. Be nice if they were.

Looking forward to the FS coming tho...
