A Few Questions

1) Who won the national match in what class? 2) How often do the match results get updated on the website? Windhill isn't even reported on for 2025. 3) Who do I contact for postal match information? I sent an email to the address listed on the website for rules and costs and never heard back.

21 hours and still no answer to the easiest question I asked.....Who won the nationals? Is there really that much lack of interest in the match program anymore or are match shooters just too lazy or have absolutely no interest in our forum to give a simple answer. Either way it's a sad state of affairs for the CBA if you were to ask me. The National Match used to be a big deal. I guess not so much anymore.

I think everybody is content with watching some YouTube hero  with some brand new Lee casting equipment he bought a month ago telling everybody how to cast. And it's the typical youtube evaluation, tons of steel plates about seven yards away shooting really fast...

"if it was easy we'd let women do it" don't tell my wife I said that!

A number of CBA board members are active on this forum. I'm not sure which ones were at the NT. I was not. I am not about to toss rocks into the pond and suggest what other board members do with their time, after all we are all volunteers. That said free free to call the President Dan Hisle, I am sure you can have a nice conversation and get the information you seek. For postal match info call Michael Hice. Phone numbers are listed in the front of TFS and also on the website under Officials. Go to home first and then find it in menu. Likely the next Fouling Shot will have what you are looking for. Yeah I like instant gratification too.

The national match was well run by those of authority and from my understanding the full results will be posted in the next issue of Fouling Shot. As for the postal matches a call to Mike Hice may answer your question.

For a laugh, I was there and do not know the winners as I had to leave early and missed the awards ceremony. Great match though. The military match has some pictures and info on CBA's Facebook page. That was a great match as well!

pat i,

I am only able to answer question 1. I (Wayne A. Leone) won the 2025 Grand National Championship, shooting in the Unrestricted Pistol Class. More information will be in a future Fouling Shot issue.

Thank you Glenn and congratulations Wayne! Glad to hear it was a good match amd hope the weather cooperated. If it ever comes back to the midwest I just might have to go for old times sake. Next year being the 50th anniversary a midwest nationals to draw people from all over would be cool.

Mark not to be snarky and not intended to be because you've always been a gentleman but with current technology expecting instant gratification to a simple question isn't asking too much. If it requires a phone call to get an answer then remove the email addresses close down the forum and just list the officers phone numbers. I was going to shoot the postal BR matches next year but after getting no reply to an email after 2 weeks I think I'll pass. I realize it's a volunteer organization because I volunteered to be director of competition for a few years. When I took the job I didn't even have a computer or know the difference between a keyboard and a skateboard but bought one (computer that is) and taught myself how to use it so know what volunteering entails.

pat i,

I would have replied sooner, but I was at our hunting club for the fall work party with no internet and non-existent to crappy cell service.

Thanks Pat. I agree that the results should be posted sooner than they are but I'm not the one doing it and understand there are a number pieces that must fall into place for data to be posted.

My comment about instant gratification is more a statement as to how our culture has progressed. Remember back before online ordering and package tracking? You would fill out an order form, snail mail it to a merchant and wait days, weeks, or a month for a package to arrive and then it's like Christmas. Most my early purchases from Brownells were just like that. I do prefer the newer ways.

Well thats great news. I better quit messing around and get to work on my plain base stuff. God willing and the creek don't rise I'll be there. I'd be doing myself a disservice if I didn't make at least one more nationals since I had a great time at the ones I went to in the past.
