Ciao all,  I am visiting Giorgio here in Italy and having a great time.  Giorgio is a gracious wonderful host. I have enjoyed meeting his shooting friends, eating delicious food, sampling local wine, bier and spirits and touring this beautiful countryside.  Life here is good and we are extremely fortunate to have such wonderful people on the forum.  Just a few pictures to prove that I am here!

That is absolutely wonderful Ed. I haven't been to Italy in a long, long time and I truly envy you!!! Eat well & eat a lot . . . and have several glasses of wine for me!

I envy you just a little bit, Ed. My wife and I had three wonderful trips to Europe a few years ago while my son was stationed in Bavaria. We spent most of the time in Bavaria but did make it to Austria and Southern France. Unfortunately, we did NOT make it to Italy.

Have a great trip and say hello to Giorgio for me.

Ed; you be sure to please tell the locals there is a FAT41 Carcano in NZ still seeing lots of use and still shooting just fine.

Posted here is a photo of Giorgio and his shooting buddy Angelo, who describe themselves as the Command Staff of Degas Irregular Rifles, armed with .577 Snider Enfields. Today we experiment with Snider loading using shortened Fiocchi 24-bore plastic shotshell casings, a light smokeless charge, 1.5cm thick fiber wad and RCBS .585 Minie bullet lubricated with Lee Liquid Alox. Will report test results later.

Hey Ed & Giorgio

Thank you both for creating and sharing such a unique wonderful adventure. I am envious of the experience and grateful for CBA brotherhood.

A few more from our ferry trip to Giglio. The capsized Costa Concordia is quite a tourist attraction now.
