Well, I thought about going to Chambersburg, PA to Gander Mtn.. ( I really don't like going there.) I need powder & primers. I had another option of going to the gunshow in Frederick, MD to do the same. Either way we're talking $15.00 in gas (round trip), powder @ about $30.00 per pound & primers for about #30.00 per thousand plus the time spent going there AND the time fighting the crowds! I also need a .312 H&I sizing die. I said, “No” I'm not doing that. I got on line with Natchez Shooting Supply. Powder @ $21.99 per pound, Lge. Rifle Primers @ $24.99 & the H&I sizing die at $23.99. Even with the Hazmat fee I saved money & have extra time to go to the range & do some shooting!!

If someone else had of done to me what I did to myself . . . I'd have killed him. Humility is an asset. Heh - heh.

Got my powder, primers & sizing die from Natchez today. I would have liked to stocked it deeper but I still came out saving money & time. Their prices are good & shipping is fast. I'll do business with them again.

Keep an eye out shopping online! Less than 2 years ago I snapped up 10 pounds of Accurate 2230 when MidwayUsa had it on sale for $12.99 a pound!.  If I had more money then I would have gotten 20 pounds at that price.

I've been to that Gander Mountain in Chambersburg several times on my way back and forth to Scranton .

They always had a pretty nice selection of used guns when I stopped . Never did check their powder costs . Although I have bought powder from the Gander Mountain in Dicksons City PA close to Scranton .

I usually put together a component order thru my friends gunsmith shop to Park's and Son in Advance North Carolina 2-4 times a year . And I get my stuff at wholesale . Based on what we buy if for at wholesale and what the reloading shops sell it around here at retail they don't mark it up alot .

I think I may pay about $17 a pound for something and my other friend with the reloading shop a few miles away sells it for about $2 a pound over what he pays . He marks shot up about $3 for a 25 pound bag . Thats not much profit when you consider the amount of capitol one can have tied up in a ton of shot these days .I think the cheapest I've seen a 25 pound bag of shilled shot lately has been about $35 a bag so $3 profit on that ain't squat .

I often do my shopping online, too. But did find a range locally where I have been getting my primers and powders. Right now I feel well stocked up, and all brass is loaded. I keep enough on hand to reload after any range trips and then some. But not huge hoards. (But then, somebody told the wife I have too much ammo. Is that possible?)

The range is closed due to rain today. (it's... rustic. So better to not tear the roads up when muddy.) :P I need a range in the house.... :cba:

I guess it's a good day to cast.   :idea1:

I work long hours during the week & don't have much time in the evening so my free time is valuable. So it was not only cheaper but also a relief not to travel out of my way to get my components. And again with gas at $4.08 a gallon I did the right thing. It's the first time I've dealt with Natchez & I'm pretty impressed with their prices & service. Oh, Sonnie, one can never have enough Guns or Ammo. I say that with the utmost conviction.

See if you can get some fellow reloaders to put in a big enough order so the Haz Mat won't kill you.  Powder Valley, Graf's (specials are on holidays in the past especially Fathers Day),Precision Delta for pistol bullets.  Sometimes Natchez or Widners too....:dude::dude: afish4570

I just ordered a LEE .490 round ball mold from Titan Reloading. They are a LEE dealer. I find their prices excellent and their shipping more than reasonable. Anyone else here order from them?

Only one bad experience: Someone in the local Post Office took it upon themselves to send my order to Saugus, Massivetwochitz.... I live in Saugus, Kelpafornia. The OPPOSITE direction. Nothing Titan could really do about a rogue employee in the Post Office. After all Zip Code 01906 does look like 91350. The post office put my order on Air Force One and did an air drop into my front porch the next day after the order was in Saugus MA.

Otherwise, I've found Titan to be one of those Rare Gems on the Internet. :D
