Got a hunch it may be at your end, since I don't seem to be having any problems here. Good luck.

Well I have been having some super slow performance too, but I do not think it is just me.  I can get normal speed on other forums and sites.  This one seems to just not be up to par at times.  I have been checking to see if there are a lot of folks signed on, and that is not an issue either.  I am on DSL, but frequently this is slower than dial up.  It would be nice if whatever is the problem would get fixed.  Not a good thing to have your email show a PM is waiting for you, but you can not even get to the site to read or reply.  This seems to be ongoing for some reason.  Perhaps this is more responsibility than just one person can handle?  Duane

Mine has a go slow now and then with this forum, I usually leave it a few hours and it comes good. May happen once a month. Other programs work well when the problem arises.

OK - I do occasionally have problems on this forum when email and other on line stuff are working fine. When answering frank l jr I was talking about that particular moment. When I've had the “slows' in the past, I figured probably the moderator was doing some moderating stuff or something. It always seems to clear up by the next time I try.

We are the same age and have the same problem. My mother lived to 101 and often remarked it was “hell getting old.” She was right.

The difference between have a slow response and a fast response can depend on your computers speed and memory, load on your service provider, load between your provider and the site's server (and possibly other things).

Sometimes there are things running on your computer that are slowing your system down that you are unaware are running.

You might download SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition from CNET

It is free and CNET has clean downloads. You do have to remember to run the software as it only runs manually.  You also have to download updates manually.

I was surprised all the stuff that was running on my computer and I had one of the more popular anti virus programs.
