About 4 grains of 700X was a common .45 ACP target load with the H&G68 or #130 back in the day. It takes 4.5 grains with #452374 to reliably cycle an M1A1 Thompson.

As always, Thanx Ed!  Traded for 4 lbs of 700X/yet to load or ask the question.  Now I know.

I've been using 700X for .38 SP and .45 ACP among others for more than 40 years. It is a great powder for target loads and meters well through common powder measures.
