HOWDY:D If I may comment on this victory. Common sense has prevailed. Twenty years ago, here in Canada, Hollow Point “Handgun” Bullets were listed under the Explosives act by the then ruling Govt. To this day we only use “Hollow Point” - Rifle- bullets in our 44 mag's;). Stupid is as stupid does.

I thought Canadian residents had pretty much lost all their rights to own a handgun? Is this presumption true as I am constantly being asked this question?

Thanks,

Hey John! Welcome to the forum. How's life in Redding? Now that the handgun ammo ban thing is struck down I've noticed ammo prices are coming down a bit around here. It's anybody's guess what will be next, but you can count on the antis doing something. It's a lucrative business being anti gun. This law would have been in effect if it weren't for the California Rifle and Pistol Association and the NRA. Time to pony up guys. If half the gun owners in this state joined the CRPA we would run the show.

Thanks for the welcome. It's not too bad for being on the left coast even though it's 107deg today here in Redding.  It's too bad that a lot of ammo dealers still won't sell to anyone in Cal. even though that faciest ammo ban was struck down.

:coffee     Congratulations of California! Looks as though they saw what might happen and decided to change the way it was going.  We need a little more of that in America.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news:

Barnes bullets, monolithics for the 416 rigby and african bg guns, anything with superior penetration and no weight loss...... will be outlawed patently in the next 30 days, in my friggen crappy state, due to liberal xxxholes. They are ” cop killers” as they easily penetrate a vest.

And so I can't hunt deer with a bullet capable of actually killing the deer, nor can I use LEAD, nor can I use my fist, a hammer, a rock.... etc. I can't use a handgun by virtue of the bullet design....

My BB gun “shall be hot pink with some form of highly visible warning to officers that its an airsoft and not a sig"....

I can't open carry anywhere....... anywhere...... except while pursuing game...... so if I am in the desert hunting rabbit, I can't open carry at my tent unless there is a rabbit in my tent........OH YEAH, THAT'S UNLOADED OPEN CARRY..........!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am leaving, I quit. 41 years of xxhit from libs and immoral bastards who need to teach my kids things that aren't Biblical..... I am on my way to Virginia...... making offers onj farms.... selling my lucrative biz as well.....

Gonna take up farming...... I am not kidding.... I will be neighbors of Ed Harris iin a state where immoral scumbags don't run the place.

Tired of paying for most of Mexicos welfare bills as well with my heavy business taxation.

Sorry for venting but CA is a dead state to me. I suggest that if you have ANY way of leaving, run and let the immoral faction enjoy their prosperity and depravity.

Exodus is in order, except I am not going to look bacj to Egypt and say, it was better when.......

I too recently fled CA mainly because of it's politics.I worked for the City of L.A., which is extremely pro-wetback, and I saw the decline of the city in the last 25 years.

Armor piercing ammo, nonlead hunting bullet ban, nonfrangibles

Memorialization of high cap mag ban

Bb gun, airsoft legislation.

Those are the three this month, all are passed thru 2/3 of the law process. The senate WILL approve, assembly will be a fight but will be lost, jerry brown will sign like its the lottery ticket winner.

Next month deleon will screw us again, with more antigun, antihunt, anticonservative, proimmoral, prowelfare crap. Every month he succeeds...... every month!! The unions own the state, the libs...

Sorry hijacking.

California takes one step forward and 16 back.

Oh yes, open carry, forgot that one.

If I have not convinced you yet, its easily found on the nra ila site. Passed in june of this year.

I am in orange county, one of the last open c,arry unloaded counties in the state. I can't open carry any more.

I must now legally be in pursuit of game to carry anywhere now, loaded or not.

Law trumps the fed nicely.

:coffee    Oops, spoke to soon.  Well, good luck to you, coref, I hope you do leave the state (it's a basic of Federalism to choose a state).

I have almost none of those problems here in Texas but, California might be a good place to send people I don't like.  I guess that's the best use for it!

HP, send all the Texas freaks here. They can all feed on eachother.

Sorry to the rest of the members who live In CA who will inevitably be overrun by freaks.

I will help ANYONE who wants to move to VA.

VA is where the American Experiment started, let it be where the patriots regroup. Texas can supply the beef and oil. You wont be left out.

:coffee   I'm still wondering how far they'll go with the animal rights for wolves, mountain lions, condors, eagles, etc.   I guess when we start seeing reports of humans being eaten by animals in California- then, all is right with the world!    This isn't nice but, it's going to be fun.

Californians: Leave if you must. For those who are staying, PLEASE consider joining the California Rifle and Pistol Association. There's strength in numbers. The CRPA is doing good work on our behalf, fighting this crazy legislation tooth and nail. And it feels good to be a member. It's an easy way to be in the fight.

Indiana is getting more gun-friendly...you can get a lifetime CC permit, even. We just past past a few very friendly gun laws that extend your right to have a gun with you and to carry it...I'm sure the NRA- ILA has the info or you can Google it to see the complete law texts. Heck, we have a 50-yard range in our back yard! Reload a little, shoot a little...but not today at 95 degrees....

Wait til the government can't hide how bad the economy is anymore , thats when you will see places like california , and the liberal utopia implode. Remember the movie, Escape from newyork. California is a cancer, untreated it will effect us all. When that ship sinks, those rats are going to invade other states, I've seen it when I lived in Wyoming, they bring their california ideas and push them on everyone else, by getting on committees , boards, it only takes one to say, It offends me, and everyone else has to change.WE LET IT HAPPEN...

Sorry , for the rant, I love to shoot my guns ,cast my bullets, and reload, and I hurt no one , and yet they still want to take it all away so the crimials won't commit crimes?
