I have been shooting indoor quite a bit and dug out the 500 SW X frame i want to dust the cobwebs off of .I usually use 12g Unique or 10g Trailboss and a 325g swc.Looking for others whimp load recipes.

I would go with 1/2 lb of 2400 and a 2lb ball. Should be manageable. 
With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.

I shoot the Lee Minie in a 50 Caliber Korean airgun. it does well so does the REAL 320G.
Aaron- I made a 36" drop tube and got 89g of 2400 in the case .I'll muzzle load a 800g bullet and let it rip

The 310gr cast from TII bullets over 14grs of TrailBoss, is usually good if I do my part. You can drop back to 12grs too. I have loaded 12grs of Titegroup and while mild, it never seems to be as accurate. You can buy some 500Spl brass and down load a little more. On Sierra website they have loads for their 350gr in the spl. You can extrapolate for cast. Note: I prefer to use the shorter brass for the plinking loads. While the primer pocket is for rifle primers, you can get away with a large pistol primer. I have used large mag primers for shotshells.

I did drop down on the titegroup to 10grs. I used the 310 cast bullet from TII bullets. At 25yds I got a one hole from 5 shots from a 500 JRH. I found this same load to be accurate, out of my 500S&W, but not as good as the BFR in 500JRH. A couple of notes, one is different twists in barrels. S&W 1-18 BFR uses 1-15. Brass is 500S&W cut down to 1.400 Primer pocket is for Large Rifle. With the Titegroup I used a Mag Pistol primer. Otherwise I still use a LR or Lrg mag rifle primer. While not quite as mild as the 310 Cast, I loaded some Sierra 350gr that I had on hand. Using 13grs of Longshot turned out to be a nice surprise. Tried 2 shots and they were touching at 50 yds. I know I should have loaded at least 5, but didn't. I usually have more cast on hand. Right now just heavier 405gr and higher.
