Are The Fouling Shot back issues available on CD? I see at the CBA Store there are 'journals' available, but appear to only go up to #58. I need #135 at the moment, but will want more, I'm sure. There's an article about leade (sp?) that I found out about in an old post here. I think I'm getting a grip on 'fitting the throat', even broke down and bought some Cerrosafe, chamber casting gone wild around here.

Back issues of the fouling shot on CD are not yet available but should be sometime in the not too distant future.

According to the inside the back cover of the latest FS individual issues from #77 to current are available.

We are discontinuing the sale of paper copies of the back issues. Anyone wanting paper back issues should get in touch with Stan Livingston (address, email address, and phone are inside front cover) right away.

I followed your advice and did not get the back issues I ordered. The info I have is for Eunice Birmley. She sent me my Marshall CD, but did not have the older FS I wanted. They will be on CD at some point and she will let me know.

BTW If you do not have Marshalls CD you are missing out big time.

You're right about the Marshall articles. I was very lucky to buy a collection of old TFS from #1 up to I think 148. It's about all I read lately, a lot of very interesting articles and letters. I also like looking at old match results, seeing who used what. The guns have changed for sure, used to be everybody and their brother was building up Remington 788s. Now I wish I'd kept my 788 .308. Anybody has a question about an article or needs something looked up just pm me.

You could scan or photo graph each page and put it on a CD or CD's. The money could go to the Assoc. I have a good copy of the NRA book by E.H. Harrison that is out of print. I am willing to scan it and offer it for sale, proceeds to the assoc, but am not sure about copy rights. NRA does not plan to reprint and I found out why. Some of the information is out of date and may be dangerous now. It reads like a history book of bullet casting inthe 20th century. What do you think?

Clod Thanks for the offer, but that EH Harrision book is copyrighted by the NRA. That would be an infringement of copyright.

I know that work is going on to put all of the back issues of the FS on a cd or dvd.. But it all takes time.

The newer issues are easier to do as we have the electronic files used to create the publication.

Having the history of the FS on CD would be really nice to have, but as that we are an association of basically volunteers, people work when they can.

I do appreciate the efforts that many have made in this cause.

I too would like to get copies of The Fouling Shot from 1980 thru 1992. Sid Musselman's article on a new 30 cal mould (1980)he was working with is among this time frame. I new of a fine gentleman in Texas who was intrigued by his Hoch #730 design. I have a copy of his article, but would like to see what else he wrote. Maybe the CD will be ready in the future.

The CBA is offering a CD with about half the back issues of the Fouling Shot. Check inside the back cover of the March/April issue.

The CD containing all the Fouling Shot issues from 1992 to 2007 (issues 95 through 190) is now being offered (approximately 3,000 pages of articles and another 2,000 pages of match results including detailed technical data.) Member Robert Olson took on the major task of scanning these issues and making them suitable for inclusion on a CD and has spent countless hours on the project. Again Jeff and Eunice have been involved in the production. This CD contains a storehouse of easy to find valuable information as well as a lot of enjoyable reading. The price including shipping is $29.95 in US and $32.95 outside the US.

Robert Olson is putting the finishing touches on the a CD of issues #1 through 94 and we hope to have it for sale in the near future. John
