Could anyone share information about the 2025 BR Nationals? I have some difficulty finding the dates on the match schedule. No criticism intended, I’m now the sharpest crayon in the box.

If anyone could share information it would be appreciated. Bill C.

Apparently my attempt fails, what once was an easy copy and paste is now beyond my abilities, sorry.

Thanks for trying. Can you paraphrase what the link led to?

As a participant I was sent an XL file by whatever means that escapes my poor memory but if I have it so do the other participants so hopefully one knows how to flip the file your why. I have recently went to Android which I know little to nothing and I am hopelessly at a lost to send you the file although I do have around a hundred or so games that keep popping up to occupy my time deleting and closing them out as well as ads. Never again will I ever switch systems. Sorry for my ineptitude.

Yeah that’s the file I was looking for. It was on the CBA site last year I just can’t find it this year. I can’t even find the dates. Do you know where it’s going to be held next year. Barring another dance with surgeons between now and then I’d love to shoot the match. Thanks.

NATS will be held at the Pioneer Gun Club at Kansas City Mo. in 2026. About the first weekend after labor day.

If anyone has the excel files with the equipment list, results I’d appreciate it. Or if it’s on the web site just point me in the right direction. Been tracking the national results since 2022. It’s gotten to be a habit. It interesting to see who changes equipment and how certain individuals faired. Heaven willing I’ll be there next year. Bill.

Good luck finding the results you're looking for Bill. I thought me asking who won earlier this month would get the results posted on the forum or main site but no luck so far. As I said in my original thread the nationals used to be a big deal but obviously not so much now.

Pat, the final results will be coming out soon. I found out that the brain trust is in the final stage of proof reading and it should be posted soon. Once I get the file I’ll pull a cheat sheet together so we all can see the equipment & results on the same sheet side by side.

Until then, if anyone that was there could share some of the highlights it would appreciate it. Who did what? What were the weather conditions.

Unless things turn for the worse, I’ll be in KC for my first Cast National next year.

I have to get to work, it’s never too early to start planning on what excuses I can use. Bill.

Notable notes from the Nats:

Food was exceptional.  Legendary southern hospitality is alive and well at Piedmont.

Competition was intense.   score positions were determined by one point or X count.  One group Agg had a difference of .003 between first and second.

Some of the folks are new in their positions.  Even with experience getting the results put together and published takes some time.  It will be along soon.

No, the Nats are not fading away.

The National Tournament results were just sent out for publishing late yesterday evening. I am posting them this morning to the webpage. Unfortunately there is a process and various hands that all match results go through before they are posted to the webpage, so some understanding on delays would be greatly appreciated. All of your board members and people that make this organization run are volunteers and some do still have full time employment.

A great debt of gratitude is owed to all those that put this event together. There’s more work than you can possibly imagine.

Our club just finished back to back jacket BR Nationals and the jacketed WBC 17 World 2025 event. Outside help comes in for the World but our BR match director lost about 10#’s by the time it was all over.

I think it’s sad that so few have enough interest in accuracy that there was no chatter before or during the event. Maybe those interested in long gun accuracy aren’t big on sharing thoughts on forums like this? I guess it’s the latter. But if those competing chatted it up on the forum we might be able to bring more shooters out to compete.

But I’m old and becoming more resolved in thinking that things are what they are.

William,

My thoughts is our NT usually are well attended. We reach critical mass rather quickly. If we add many more competitors we will out grow our sponsoring facilities capacity. I really enjoyed the NT I went too and hope to be able to make more of them.

I agree that there does not seem to be much forum traffic from NT competitors and frankly during the match there is not much time for the forum. I will also add that there are a number of match participants that are regular posters here.

I do like seeing information now, like in right now, when the news is fresh but there is also part of me that thinks match results should appear in The Fouling Shot first. I'm as guilty as the next wanting instant gratification but have understanding that there is plenty behind the scenes that needs to happen before Jeffery can post results in his limited free time.

Yeah, you’re right. I was just having one of those elderly melancholy moments, disappointed that I wasn’t at the match. I’ll put my big boy britches on and get over it. Hope to be there next year. Bill.

Is it just me or do other see poundsigns instead of data in the group sizes in the excel file?

Mark it opened up in your excel with the column narrow than the data in the column.

If you make the column wider it’ll show all of the data. Bill

Yep any time. Haven’t had time to pick at the results but I was disappointed that JA wasn’t able to shoot again this year. Maybe he’ll make KC next year. Bill.
