Do any of you fellas know the code on ammo boxes.?? Gun show today bought a full box of Western super-X 300 savage for $10.00 just curious how old it is. The code on the flap is 17 TE 13. It would be dandy if the manuf. would put info we could understand. Frank C.

Lot code comes back to 31st May, 2002.
They do that so it is hard to do, otherwise you would whine when stores sell you 20 year old ammo as “new".

I did a search for “ammo lot codes” on the internet, and looked until I found one for W-W ammo. If you looked under “date codes” there is nothing. Sometimes it is just asking the right question.
