Bought a pair of circa 1970 Superposed shotguns yesterday !  A 28 gauge skeet gun with 28” barrels and a 410 with 26 1/2” barrels both made in 1970 . They should fit in nicely with the circa 1965 20 gauge skeet 26 1/2” and circa 1967 12 gauge skeet 26 1/2” I already have !  Just to keep things level I need to acquire a nice 32” Broadway ;)

The 28 gauge from the GB pics . http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/pix907006435_zps2qa08kok.jpg.html>http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/pix184938664_zpsp4kyr8cg.jpg.html>http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/pix873055330_zpsagaouzzj.jpg.html>http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/pix097875199_zps4nxqee4f.jpg.html>http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/pix632503749_zpsahbqsykd.jpg.html>

Now comes the hard part WAITING ! The 28's coming from Denver and I was able to use a CC to pay , so it shipped yesterday . The 410's coming from the Kansas City area and that guy didn't have CC service so the FFL/check for that one went out Priority yesterday ! Hopefully he'll recieve it monday and the gun might be in my hands by the end of next week !

Thank you ! When they get here we'll test the wood to make sure it's not salt wood . But other then that I can think of no issue provided whoever the carrier is doesn't screw them up in transit !

I was looking thru BPI's buckshot loading book a little while ago . I just might be able to cobble up a buckshot load or two with #2 , #3 and #4 buckshot !

I already had MEC600JR's for all gauges . But today a friend brought me a like new Grabber 28 gauge and a MEC650 20 gauge . Still need to find progressives for the 12 , 16 and 410 .  Wanna just bite the bullet and get a new Ponsness Warren 800 Plus 12 gauge and dies for the 16 , 20 , 28 and 410 but thats about a $1900 proposition !

The 28 gauge just showed up today ! Took one picture and will get more later . Gun looks very nice and after taking the stock off I am about 99.9% sure it doesn't have salt wood in the stock . Hopefully I'll be able to test the stock and forend wood tommorrow when my pharmacist buddy brings his solution !  http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/Browning%20Superposed%2028%20and%20410/IMG_7990_zpsubkriahf.jpg.html>

Ok the 410 finally arrived via USPS at about 15:30 . Took the recoil pad off and the stock bolt out . No signs of salt wood on ANY of the metal , the gun appears to be unfired .I'm still gonna test the wood tomorrow just to be safe . Also the period correct Browning hard case looks new ! http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/Browning%20Superposed%2028%20and%20410/IMG_8010_zpsfujmbaz6.jpg.html>http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/Browning%20Superposed%2028%20and%20410/IMG_8011_zpsebuugo8a.jpg.html>http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/Browning%20Superposed%2028%20and%20410/IMG_8012_zpsbaxqw9ez.jpg.html>http://s50.photobucket.com/user/6pt-sika/media/Browning%20Superposed%2028%20and%20410/IMG_8013_zpsfwqgskkx.jpg.html>
