Sometimes I want to use a rifle scope as a spotting scope, so here is an adapter for external adjustable scopes-regular and posa mounts; and internally adjustable scopes with Weaver style rings. Yes, Steve Earle does very nice work. He made me an adapter to mount an externally adjustable scope such as Lyman STS on a bolt gun, using the scope base mounting holes on the action only, no block or screws on the barrel. Maybe pix if I can find some.
