Hi Guys,

Been absent for a while. Had no internet at home & although I have a work issued I-phone it"s hard to write on the forum here. Girlfriend of 15 years moved in with me. No longer a bachelor. House os spotless, food is good & clothes are clean. Big change after living alone for 24 years! All good!

Had a lot of trouble with my internet service with Verizon DSL & finally got an AT&T USB modem that I can use anywhere. Pretty cool actually. Glad to be back.

Welcome back Pat!! Like John said some of us were worried about you. Congrats on the new housemate. Now you're gonna have to start remembering to put the toilet seat down when you're done.

Welcome back!

By the way, it was hard for me to make sure he was missing, since I cannot view members profiles (and activity?). Is that restriction normal?

When's the Wedding?

I'm trying to avoid talking about the wedding stuff. The toilet seat issue has already came up a number of times. I always have my 8' x 12' heated man cave out in the back yard for the rough times. LOLOL

If I leave the seat down and practice my bullseye shooting I don't hear about the seat up problem after a while.

The toilet seat issue never seemed like a big deal to me but then again I never found myself arse deep in frigid water at 3 o'clock in the morning so maybe they really do have a point.

Good to hear you're ok, Pat. I was out there this past weekend for the last day of deer season- I should have looked you up.

As for toilet seats, my ex-wife and I went 'round and 'round over that issue, with me averring that I religiously put the seat down out of respect for her. She continually harped about me not doing it. It got to the point where she b*tched about it to anybody who would listen to her. Turned out that what she called the seat was what I called the lid. No wonder she's my “ex"...:puke:

That's too funny! I have to hand it to my lady though, that little girl has done nothing but work around the house since she moved in . . . both inside & out! She cleaned up the yard, loaded up the pickup with trash that needs to go to the dump & even asked me to show her how to use the chainsaw! I won't do that of course. With all that, if she wants the toilet seat down . . . I'm good. She even shoveled the snow off from the sidewalk!

Good to have you back Pat. It looks like you've left the little woman with enough to do. I've got one of the go-getter types and it plays hell with my conscious to cast bullets and watch cars go by while she works.

And here I thought you were ignoring us. Don't let the fire go out in that little lady.

Or as I call my wife of 42 years, The Queen.

You know, at first I felt bad knowing that she was working her butt off around the house and at the same time really appreciated what she was doing. I find that being a bachelor for 24 yrs. hasn't been conducive to keeping a nice home. Lot of cobwebs & dust around the house you know. But . . . as she said “I enjoy taking care of the house". The only thing that she asks is that I respect what she does, take my shoes/boots off on the porch & pick/clean up after myself. That isn't asking for much. But then I try to do for her too & I place no restrictions on what she does . . . unless it concerns my hobbies i.e. reloading, shooting, woodworking etc.. She wanted me to take my mounts off of the walls but I said, “No Way", end of story. She didn't mention that again. LOL Pat
