Lyman makes and still sales an Alox type bullet lube. There are many lubes out there you just have to try them and see which leave less fouling and you like best.

Tamarack was a 50/50 beeswax/alox lube IIRC. I'd suggest you try Lars at LS Stuff, He's been around forever and offers many different lubes on his site at https://www.lsstuff.com/

I'd normally suggest LBT Soft Blue, but it still isn't available after Verals passing. The rumor mill suggests his widow and his daughter are going to keep the bullet lube end going but I haven't seen any progress in that direction yet.

I found later on that there's a nearly identical thread about halfway down the page.

A friend of mine and my self both thought LBT Blue might have been soaps based because getting water on it made it react like soap. That and sitting on the crapper one day looking at a bar of Irish Spring I got the idea. In fact I loaded some 130 ot 135 grain Lee bullets for my 7mm-08 and a heavy dose of 4350 powder and hot them high velocity with zero leading and accuracy was really good. Funny, when I would fire the wind blew the smoke back at me and you guessed it, it smell like Irish Spring soap and I was laughing my butt off. The rest is history.
